Weight Lifting Workout – Lose Weight, Build Muscle, & Get Healthy at the Same Time

There is a very popular misconception amongst both men and women that a weight lifting workout is something that only those who want to look like wrestlers or bouncers need. This could not be any further from the truth. A good and reputable program can go a long way to making sure that ANYBODY can get a sexy, slim, muscular looking body, and become healthier too. For those whose main problem is that they are overweight, there is a lot of confusion as to whether diet and some cardio exercises will do the trick to help you lose weight. A regularly adhered to weight lifting workout promises to do the same if not better! Make sure you include one in your endeavor to burn off any extra fat in order to have the dream body that you have always wanted.

Here are some reasons why you should consider including a weight lifting workout in your plan of action and why it is good for your health:

(1) It will take a firm hold of your appetite. Dieting can go a long way to helping you lose some pounds. The problem however is not in the diet itself; the problem is in controlling your appetite to help you adhere to the diet the way you are supposed to. When starting a weight lifting workout, it should not be too intense as this will do nothing but boost your appetite. It should be a moderate workout so that it will enable you to eat less.

(2) It will help you lose those extra unwanted pounds. To lose weight though, you have to burn more calories than what you have taken in. The easiest way for you to do this would be through a solid weight lifting workout. Other things like cardio may take you forever to burn off calories. The one positive thing about cardio is that it will aid in strengthening your heart which will in turn help you lift more weights longer as build your endurance.

(3) You will build muscles throughout your entire body. If you get a good, well rounded program, and you stick with it, then you will build muscles throughout your body. Cardio for example would help you get fit but would never help to strengthen your bones and muscle tissue. With weight lifting, a lot of calories will be burned and you will be replacing your unwanted fat with lean muscle. This is the only way you are going to end up with that body that you desire so much.
