Motivation to Lose Weight

In today’s era, everyone wants everything to be instantaneous. Hence, it’s no wonder that everyone wants to lose weight in a quick and easy way. But what underlies these quick weight loss fads are harmful side effects. Motivation to lose weight cannot be seen immediately but they are slow and steady in surfacing.

Quick weight loss plans, if self-administered, usually include starving off one self. It also includes skipping of meals throughout the day. There is another kind of diet that allegedly causes quick weight loss and it’s called ‘Low- Calorie’ diet. In this type of diet plan, there is extremely less or almost no intake of calories.

The most widely-known rapid weight loss effects are loss in the mass of the muscles, gall stones, deficiency of water content in the body, loss of stamina, hair-loss, dry and hanging skin, etc.

Mass muscle loss is due to fat reserves being used up in the absence of any intake of energy-providing substances. Gall stones are a result of unbalanced salt and cholesterol levels which occur due to sudden stoppage in the intake of food. This may also result in inflammation of the pancreas, liver and gall bladder. Loss of water content is related to muscle loss. Due to the falling nutrient levels, there is decrease in stamina causing weakness. Hair-fall and skin related problems are due to falls of protein and minerals in diet.

In order to avoid such rapid weight loss effects, one must follow a healthy weight loss plan.


Never get frustrated if one day you can not recognize the image when you are standing in front of the mirror! Our fast lifestyle and sedentary practice have compelled us to take up some habits which in turn affect our health badly. It may happen that you do not have enough time to go to the gym or you may not want to spend your money by going there or by purchasing slimming capsules. If that is the case, you can think of home weight loss programs which are inexpensive and easy to follow. Moreover, this will change the daily course you follow.

The body is yours. Think that your handsome or beautiful physique is covered under evil fat that needs to be melted out to present you as a vibrant and youthful man or woman. While at home, plan to move your body as much as possible.

For example, if you are not a heart patient, use the stairs to reach your room from the ground floor. Fat loss is neither a magic nor is it a short term process. Reduce fat everyday slowly. Fast fat loss may harm your body and as soon as you stop the process you will gain more fat than before.

Change your food style and limit your choice of foods because you never know when you will come across junk foods! Control your taste buds for living a long life as eating tasty foods in great quantity will surely add extra pounds to your body. To feel motivated to lose weight, you can carry shopping bags, do exercises like Shoulder press, squats, push ups, front raise, punching in the air. Practicing aerobics at home in the morning will also do wonder for weight loss.
