Have you been trying to lose weight and get lean without success? Do you think you’ve tried everything and are about to give it all up? Well, don’t give up because your search is over. I know it may sound like a pipe dream but you can get lean in 6 weeks.
I’m going to introduce you to two things you are probably unaware of. The first one is something called the Tabata protocol. In the 1990s a Japanese doctor named Izumi Tabata discovered that the most effective way to lose weight is to combine short intense periods of exercise with brief periods of rest. The Tabata protocol is 8 20 second periods of intense exercise with only 10 seconds of rest in between.
Now, the Tabata protocol cann be applied to virtually any type of exercise however I like to use it with kettlebells. This is the other thing you’ve probably never heard of. The KB is a Russian device which looks like a cannonball with a handle. Because of its design it is capable of being swung between the legs and this is the fundamental move of most KB exercises. Because of this there is an added cardiovascular element that is not usually associated with weight lifting. Using a KB you can burn as many as 20 calories a minute and lose as much as 1% body fat a week. This is why it is perfect to use with the Tabata protocol.
If the Tabata protocol is too intense for you work up to it. Do a half Tabata or give yourself longer periods of rest.
